Bags of raisins, brown sugar, rum soaked cherries, pipe tobacco, spices, cloves, cinnamon, hint of nutmeg, sherry, woody, dark honey. Also treacle tart, espresso, dates, and toasted hazelnuts all wrapped in polished oak and varnish.
Palate
Oily, creamy, dark honey, good sweetness, spices, nutmeg, pepper, more raisins, dates, figs, more on dried fruits, tobacco, hint of mushrooms, sherry, woody again. Also bold sherry with figs, dark chocolate, ginger cake, and black cherry.
Finish
Medium, long, warm, raisins, chocolate, sherry, tobacco, walnuts, dark forest berries, little tannic, a tad bitter. Also long and spicy with clove, burnt sugar, and a final flex of nutty oak.
