Nose
Rich, delicate, and sweet with notes of honeycomb, citrus, tropical fruits (apple, pear, mango, guava, passion fruit, papaya), vanilla, and bakery sweets. There's a distinct Springbank funk with hints of dunnage, industrial oil, sea air, salinity, and light peat smoke. Underlying notes of malt, oak spice, white pepper, and dried orange zest.
Palate
Bold, balanced, and oily with a sweet core of honeycomb, golden syrup, icing sugar, white chocolate, and salted caramel. Fruity notes of pineapple, peach, apricot, melon, lime sherbet, raisins, sultanas, and candied orange. Spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and ginger are present, along with a gentle peat smoke, salinity, and a savory, slightly woody character.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering notes of vanilla, apple, salt, honey roasted peanuts, and a slight nuttiness. The peat smoke persists, bringing a pleasant bitterness, dryness, and an ashy quality. Hints of white pepper, salty brine, oak, and a chalky, mineralic character.
