Sweet oak, ginger spice, tobacco leaf/cigar smoke, long and warming peat smoke, bitterness, dryness, ashy quality, sweet characteristics, dried fruity elements, white pepper, salty brine, hint of oak, sweet cider, toasty barley, and lingering salty tingle.

Honeycomb, citrus and tropical fruit give this Springbank a bright, sweet start, while soft smoke and oak spice keep it grounded. The oily palate brings pineapple, chocolate and salinity together without losing its malt and dried-fruit character. The finish is the main draw for me: long, warming peat smoke sits alongside sweet oak, ginger, brine and a dry, bitter edge. That balance of sweetness, savoury notes and a substantial finish makes it an appealing, layered single malt.
