Nose
Rich sherry influences with dried fruits, oak, and a subtle brininess. Notes of prune juice, figs, and an earthy dunnage warehouse character, alongside hessian sack cloth, fruit loaf, Guinness cake, walnut liqueur, and ancient balsamico. Delicate peatiness sits underneath.
Palate
A robust and full-bodied profile with dark chocolate, dried fruits, warm spices, and a hint of nuttiness. It presents a drier, earthier character with notes of camphor, salted liquorice, blackcurrant jam, and a tar liqueur. A big, blustery, and powerfully earthy sherry with a nice saline edge.
Finish
Long and satisfying, with lingering notes of oak, dried fruits, and brine. Continues with earthy tones, burned raisins, caraway, and cured meats, often with a slightly drying bitter chocolate and mineral aspect.
