- Nose
- Sweet fruit compote with berries, plums, rhubarb, raisins, and banana, alongside vanilla, toffee, and a light smoke. It also presents classic Springbank brine, damp earth, burlap, coriander seed, apple, and orange notes, evolving to preserved lemon, oysters, and a sulphury suggestion of overripe blood oranges and pipe smoke.
- Palate
- A creamy and oily mouthfeel with salted caramel, lemon zest, nuts, and spices. Tropical fruits like dried bananas and coconut mingle with dark chocolate, malt, and herbs, leading to a tender smoke. Vanilla, toffee, and red currants are present, along with a peppery kick, black licorice, and chilli spices. The classic "Campbeltown funk" is evident with earthy and light funky notes, evolving to sweet oranges, candied ginger, root beer, sassafras, dessert wine, milk chocolate, cocoa powder, and cola.
- Finish
- Long and lingering with toffee, salt, brine, and hints of peat. Notes of gingerbread, liquorice mint, sea salt, and fine coffee emerge, alongside pepper, sweet notes, and a subtle mango leather.
