Nose
Complex with fruity and phenolic notes, quinces, metal polish, apricot pie, honeys, wax polish, tobacco, leather, brine, liquorice, plums, figs, mint, dates, eucalyptus, camphor, incense, wood and peat smoke, sandalwood, coal. Massive seaside brine and peat, coastal, leafy and farmy notes, smoke, seaside spray, faint perfume of cucumbers, sweet honey, apples, marzipan, hint of smoke.
Palate
Greasy and oily, brine with lemon juice, leather, dried fruits, motor oil, fudge, herbal teas, bitter oranges, fresh peppercorns. Powerful smoke and earthy peat, briny, full-bodied and creamy, dried fruit, nuts, slight smokiness.
Finish
Chartreusy, herbal liqueurs, spices, smoother dried fruits, a wee soapiness. Long and smooth, with a lingering sweetness.
