Nose
Fresh and fruity with aromas of citrus, lemon pie, apple juice, apricot, eucalyptus honey, minerals, and light peat. Soft, sweet, clean malted barley, thick honey, red apples, white pepper, icing sugar, candied lemon peel, dry old oak, subtle earthy peatiness, a lick of salt, and beach pebbles.
Palate
Oily and mineral with a subtle sweetness and notes of pear, grapefruit, white oak, almonds, peat, and a hint of salt. Thick honey, sweet malted barley, candied lemon peel, icing sugar sweetness, citrusy notes of lemon cake icing/frosting, marzipan, red apple skins, soft earthy peat, white pepper, and a soft 'dunnage' minerality & earthiness.
Finish
Long, warm, and zesty. Medium length, with soft earthy peat fading into a light chalky & gravelly minerality, followed by oxidised red apples, lemon icing, sea salt, and a lovely earthy dunnage 'funk'.
