Description
This private bottling was distilled in 1992, the same year the distillery revived its in-house maltings. It remains one of the few distilleries in Scotland to operate its own floor-malting facility. A revered single malt distillery in Campbeltown that has operated since 1828. It is today owned by J&A Mitchell & Co who produce three single malt styles there. These are its flagship two-and-half time distilled Springbank, a heavily-peated malt known as Longrow, and the triple-distilled Hazelburn. This particular release is a privately bottled single cask of Springbank from the 1992 vintage, bottled as a 30-year-old in 2023, with the label paying tribute to King Charles' Coronation Year. Cask 267 was an ex-bourbon hogshead that yielded a total of 118 bottles. The cask was purchased by the owner as a newly-filled cask in 1992 and has been sitting at Springbank's warehouse in Campbeltown since then.
