Description

Murray McDavid was formed in 1996 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright. It became known for its innovative cask finishing. This Springbank release is a vatting of two vintages: a portion distilled in 1965 and matured in fresh sherry casks, and the remainder distilled in 1993 and matured in bourbon casks. It was bottled by Murray McDavid in 2004 and dubbed 'The Springbank Cuvée'. [cite: Scotch Whisky Auctions, 13]
