Description
The Springbank 11 Year Old (Local Barley) was distilled in May 2011 and bottled in December 2022. The whisky has been distilled from 'local barley', grown on the Kintyre Peninsula, a few miles from Springbank. Barley source: Glencraigs Farm - Barley type: Belgravia. This is one of only 15,000 bottles. It was matured in a combination of 55% ex-sherry casks, 35% ex-bourbon casks, and 10% ex-rum casks. This release is praised for its complexity and the interesting interplay of the different cask influences, while still retaining the core Springbank character.
