Nose
Rustic Springbank funk with nutty and vanilla cream notes, hints of hay, horsefur, and industrial elements like shoe polish. Underlying umami savouriness, honey, and maltose, complemented by dusty red berries, tomato plants, and gravy granules. Sweet raisins, minerals, and earthy tones mingle with stewed oranges, sherry, juicy cherries, and roasted walnuts, with a subtle smokiness.
Palate
Medium-bodied with honey, pine nuts, and vanilla cream, balanced by umami savouriness and charred meats. Silky and firm, it presents rustic notes of hay, horsefur, and cereal nuttiness, alongside green grape gummies and yellow raisins. Flavors of greengage, red apples, and burnt toffee are present, with a light ashy peat, salt, and mineral notes. Orange and plum/raisin marmalade, earthy tones, and dry red wine fruits are also evident, with stewed fruits, balsamic, and industrial hints.
Finish
A long, lip-smacking, and tart finish with a gentle tingle. Ashy and earthy notes combine with orange and raisins mulled in dark red wine, alongside old smoke, hints of cough syrup, and engine fumes.
