Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises - located next to the Springbank distillery - also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries. With their own warehouse stocked full of exciting whiskie ... This Springbank 10 Year Old 'Spirit of Gigha' was distilled by J & A Mitchell & Co. Ltd. and bottled on 15th March 2002 for The Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust to commemorate Gigha Day, 'A New Dawn'. It is a limited edition of only 200 bottles.

A vibrant cereal note, green apples, gorse bush, wine gums, mineral notes, biscuit malt, yellow fruits, pear, baked apple, candied lemon, vanilla, soft caramel, hint of walnut, oily smoke, sea salt, boat rope, light beeswax.
Palate
Well balanced with a touch of peat smoke, sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate, tomato plant, sunflower seeds, linseed oil, soft cereal, ripe fruits, light honey, hazelnut, citrus, white pepper, saline minerality.
Finish
Honey, gooseberries, delicate smoke, spiced oak, orange zest, dry and clean sensation, sea salt.
