Description
Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises - located next to the Springbank distillery - also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries. This particular release is a rare 32-year-old single malt from the closed Lowland distillery of St Magdalene, distilled in 1982 and bottled in January 2015 by Cadenhead's. Only 282 bottles were released from a single Butt cask. St Magdalene, also known as Linlithgow, closed in 1983 and its single malt is particularly rare.
