Description

Stauning El Clásico is the third release in the Danish distillery's experimental Stauning Research Series, inspired by the classic Manhattan cocktail. It is made with Stauning's rye whisky, which has a 70/30 rye and barley mashbill. The rye whisky is aged for 3-4 years in virgin American oak casks before being finished for a year in casks that formerly held Spanish red vermouth and bottled at an enticing 45.7%. The result is a fruity, spicy Danish whisky that makes a great substitute for American whiskey in classic cocktails.
