This Belgian single malt whisky underwent pre-maturation in a mix of Bourbon and Anker casks, followed by a finish of almost 2 years in American oak Vermouth casks, previously used for Spanish Vermouth made from Ximenéz grapes.

The floral note gives the light sweetness a little balance.
The most interesting detail is the change from a floral nose to a lightly sweet, fruity palate: it gives the whisky a clear contrast without making the sweetness sound dominant. The finish remains fruity, keeping that thread present at the close. I find that restrained movement more engaging than a whisky built around sweetness alone; it sounds composed and easy to follow.
