Nose
An elegant and fragrant bouquet with lush, multi-layered honey sweetness, beeswax, and a waxy character. Notes of ripe red apples, peaches, apricot, tropical mango, orange zest, dusty walnuts, oat biscuits, and a hint of acidic wet vegetation. Also, malty with spice, fruit, a whiff of smoke, wood oils, resins, rubbed petals, winter spice, cereal sweetness, marmalade, and hints of bourbon with a thick creaminess. Soft oak, candied peel, floral notes, and Danish pastries.
Palate
A surprisingly full-bodied and creamy mouthfeel, juicy and sweet with bready malt, caramel pudding, and fruit salad. It develops into a firm and peppery spiciness with nutmeg, cinnamon, and white peppercorn. Fruit transitions to deeper red apple in caramel, rhubarb, and plum. Medium-bodied, creamy, rich, dried fruit, malty, and a subtle background smokiness. Notes of thick cream, honeyed raisins, sultanas, Madeira, mixed peels, vanilla, toffee, and spice.
Finish
Clean, well-defined, and dry with a slightly spicy conclusion. A warming burst of ginger and hot pepper, settling into a mellow, malty sweetness. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, orange peel, apple-caramel, a touch of oak bitterness, and a hint of cider. Faint traces of walnut, coconut, and a clean, mineral ash. Long and very fruity with a spirity oak development.
