Nose
Glorious varnished wood aromas, a touch of smoke, plenty of sherry notes, gingerbread, brown sugar, syrup. What a cask this must have been.
Palate
Mouth-coating oak, with wood spice, but quite medium-weight. Very sherried, but the malt hangs in there - just. This is delicate and classy.
Finish
Dry. The spices outlast the wood and oak, with good length and delicate layers of malt and sherry fading softly away.
