A somewhat elusive single malt distillery built in 1892 as Glenisla. It was renamed three years later by new owners, W&A Gilbey, and is today part of the Diageo portfolio where it provides key component fillings for the J&B blends. The nose is like a fruit salad, with melon, pineapple, mango and grapes, then a hint of coconut and a sweetie shop. We also found some marzipan, lemon meringue pie and a faint whiff of smoke.
