Description

A distillery exclusive from Talisker bottled in 2019. This single malt was first matured in refill oak casks, then heavily charred American Oak hogshead before finally maturing in old European Oak puncheons. It is a limited edition of 6000 bottles.

Nose
Light and subtle for Talisker. Sweet red fruits and brown sugar with some black pepper and a hint of ash. Light oak with a subtle sweetness and some peat.
Palate
Citrus fruits, particularly lemon, salted dark chocolate, and a hint of ashy smoke. Smooth oak, hint of vanilla, and nice smoke/peat. Vanilla and sea salt.
Finish
Peppercorns, cinnamon, and a very light peat. A long, sharp finish. Lingering sensation of peat, oak, and dryness.
