This Talisker 8 Year Old is part of Diageo's 2024 Special Releases, known as 'Tidal Churn'. It is an 8-year-old single malt Scotch whisky bottled at natural cask strength (58.7% ABV). This limited-edition expression showcases Talisker's maritime character, aged in casks where the original char layers were polished away by rocks and water, then lightly re-toasted. This unique cask treatment aims to bring out fresh vanilla and fruit flavors, resulting in a bold and complex whisky with a distinctive peaty profile and notes of pear, apple, seaweed, pepper, and spice.
