Nose
Resinous, smokier, crystallized fruits, sherry, maritime, coffee, flints, coal, charcoal, candied grapefruit, dried tangerines, Seville oranges, cappuccino.
Palate
Powerful attack on sherry, smoke and pepper. Fabulous dryness, bitter chocolate, armagnac-soaked prunes, silky tannins, salty liquorice, old walnut liqueur, blackcurrant jelly, dried and crystallized fruits.
Finish
Amazingly long, on pepper, prunes and walnut oil, strong chestnut honey and orange liqueur, with a bitterness counterpointing the sweetness.
