Talisker Glacial Edge 45 Year Old, American Oak Cask, 2023, 49.8%

Talisker 45 Year Old Glacial Edge is the distillery's first-ever 45-year-old single malt Scotch release and the third and final installment in the Xpedition Oak Series, created in partnership with marine conservation charity Parley for the Oceans. After maturing for over four decades, the whisky was finished in twelve heavily charred American oak casks that were taken on a voyage to Canada's Arctic ice fields. The cask ends were removed, and the casks were exposed to sub-zero temperatures for 96 hours, causing the wood to fracture and increase the surface area for interaction with the whisky during its finishing period in Scotland. This limited edition release consists of 2,455 bottles globally.
