Talisker 47 Year Old Magma is an exceptionally rare, ultra-aged single malt Scotch whisky, the oldest expression ever released by the Skye distillery. Inspired by the Isle of Skye's volcanic origins, this whisky embodies nearly five decades of maturation. It was first matured in refill American oak hogsheads before being finished for four months in new American oak casks toasted by intensely heated volcanic rocks from the Isle of Skye, a technique that avoids traditional open-flame methods to preserve fruit complexity and enhance depth. This limited edition release of only 622 bottles worldwide captures an elemental balance of sweet smoke, mineral salinity, and warming spice, reflecting Talisker's rugged coastal character. The sculptural bottle, crafted from 100% recycled glass with a gradient fade from clear to black, and a hand-sculpted obsidian-inspired stopper, visually translates Skye's dramatic landscape.
