Description
Working in a grocer's shop in Glasgow, William Teacher began selling whisky and a few years later in 1856, he gained a license to open a shop specifically to sell the spirit. By 1936 William had a chain of around 20 dram shops, licensed premises where frequenters could purchase and consume fine whiskies, making Teacher the largest licence holder in Glasgow at the time. Later, his sons took the business to the next phase by registering the brand as William Teacher & Sons Ltd in 1884. The brand became best known for its Highland Cream Blend, which boasts an unusually high malt content and includes over 30 different whiskies, with Ardmore single malt as its fingerprint whisky. This particular release is a special Christmas edition.
