Firkin Rare: Teaninich 2010 Custom Cask Tawny Port is a unique single malt Scotch whisky from the Teaninich distillery, distilled in 2010. It was distilled at Teaninich and initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before undergoing a second maturation in bespoke double-oak casks seasoned with tawny port. Bottled at 48.9% ABV and non-chill filtered, it offers a rich profile of dried fruits, crushed almonds, and honeyed warmth. The custom double-oak casks are handmade by a skilled cooper from ex-bourbon staves combined with virgin French oak, then soaked with Tawny port to impart rich fruity flavours.
