Description

Teerenpeli PALO 46% is the anniversary release from 20 year-old Teerenpeli Distillery in autumn 2022. Gently peated Teerenpeli new spirit has matured in carefully selected ex-PX and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Thanks to the unique Teerenpeli sea container warehouses, Finnish nature has also given its own touch during the maturation.

Nose
Liquorice, fried salmon skin, sesame oil, and a herbal edge of dried dill. Some wood smoke, eucalyptus, and freshly baked wholemeal loaf. Dried fig and sultana, too.
Palate
Medium. Sweet dried fruits, figs and prunes in syrup. A distinct, sweet nuttiness, like Florentine (chocolate coated, candied almonds). Some delicate wood smoke, liquorice with vanilla fondant, and baked pear with lots of sugar. A savoury umami note, too, like fried white fish in butter.
