Description

Templeton Rye Maple Cask Finish Series 1 is the first release in Templeton Rye's limited-edition Barrel Finish series. This 92-proof (46% ABV) whiskey was bottled in 2019 and finished in maple syrup-seasoned casks, a collaboration with Wood's Vermont Syrup Company. 80 ex-Templeton Rye barrels were filled with maple syrup for two months, with daily rotation to ensure deep wood penetration. After the syrup was removed, the straight rye whiskey was aged for an additional two months in these seasoned barrels, resulting in a balance of spicy rye and sweet Vermont maple syrup. Only 24,000 bottles were produced for the global market.
