Description

An American whiskey distillery established in Iowa in 2018, Templeton produces both bourbon and rye whiskies. This limited edition American straight rye whiskey was originally matured for a minimum of six years in first-fill American oak flame-charred barrels. It was then finished for an additional nine months in 500-liter Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Delgado Zuleta in the Marco de Jerez region of Spain. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered.

Rich, oily mouthfeel with tropical fruit, exotic spices, milk chocolate, walnuts, citrus forward fruit notes, Oloroso sweetness, apricot, burnt sugars, orange marmalade candies, almond/nuttiness, sweet nut butter, fresh biscuits with honey glaze, light chocolate, and spice.
Finish
Long, creamy, and beautifully balanced with ex-sherry influence, black pepper, sumptuous warmth, light dill, spearmint, nutmeg, cherry cobbler, exotic fruits, lingering Oloroso sherry sweetness, and faint oak.
