Description

This Timorous Beastie 25 Year Old Limited Edition is a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Douglas Laing's 'Remarkable Regional Malts' range. Matured for 25 years mainly in ex Bourbon barrels, it is a blend of single malts from various distilleries located in the Highlands, including Blair Athol, Glen Garioch, Dalmore, and Glengoyne. The inspiration for the name comes from Robert Burns' poem 'To a Mouse'. This limited edition release consists of 1600 bottles and is presented at 46.8% ABV, without cold filtration or added colourings.

This reads as a warm, rounded Highland malt, with marmalade and ripe barley giving the vanilla and oak a lively edge. On the palate, buttery grain, brown cane sugar and ginger sound comfortably generous. The soft spice, mild honey and vanilla sweetness in the finish keep the character inviting. A long finish adds presence, while the sweet grain notes make the overall style feel approachable.
