Description

Located at Ballindoney Farm in County Tipperary, Ireland, this Single Cask Release is part of the Tipperary Boutique Selection. Distilled in November 2007 and bottled in January 2018, this single malt Irish whiskey was initially matured for 9 years and 5 months in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask (or Jerez Sherry Butt according to some sources) before being finished for 8 months in a first-fill Port Cask. It is bottled at natural cask strength (50.2% ABV), non-chill filtered, with no added color, and made from unpeated malt. This particular release, Cask No. RC00115, was bottled exclusively for Germany, with an outturn of 186 bottles. The barley used is grown on Ballindoney Farm, reflecting a 'farm to bottle' approach.
