Description

Tobermory is the only distillery on the picturesque Hebridean Isle of Mull and is one of the oldest operational malt Scotch whiskies distilleries. This 12-year-old release was launched in 2019 to celebrate the distillery's reopening after a two-year refurbishment. It is an unpeated single malt, matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks before a brief finishing in virgin oak.

Nose
Pear, peach and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar. Rich fruit, orange and citrus, fresh floral hints, vanilla, honey, lemon, marzipan, and canned apricots.
Palate
Rounded malt notes, oily mouthfeel, sweet orange and citrus, creamy caramel, rich vanilla, spicy hints of cinnamon and clove, creme brulee, honey, tobacco, and a salty note.
Finish
A flash of orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates. Long, lingering vanilla and spice, slightly dry with a little bit of oak and warming spices.
