- Farmhouse Cidre from Normandy, dried fruit, ripe tangerine, dried glass of amontillado sherry, but also salty liquorice, kelp, oysters and campfire smoke. In addition, harbour odours such as ship's rope, diesel oil, soot, gunpowder, charcoal, tar, rigged leather, tippers and a salty sea breeze. As if you were walking around in an old smelly harbour.
- Palate
- The typical Ledaig smokiness immediately comes to the fore, but certainly also the real maritime character. Leather, tar, cigar leaf, heavy Van Nelle tobacco and a pleasant rubber tone. The subtle wood aromas and fruit notes like dried fruit bring structure and balance to this single malt.
- Finish
- The spicy flavours of roasted chestnuts and smoked sultanas linger long.
