Nose
Vibrant, fruity and floral, with aromas of tropical fruits layered with winter spices from the Oloroso Sherry butts, pear drops, ginger snaps, butterscotch, vanilla ice cream, sherry notes, milk chocolate, baked fruits, brandied pear, spiced mango chutney, a hint of leather balsam, blackcurrant, toffee, walnut and crystallised ginger.
Palate
Rich yet sweet, with fruity tones developing into oaky flavours of raw heather honey and roasted chestnuts, woody and malty, cloves and cardamom, a waxy mouthfeel, deep forest fruit preserves with notes of spiced plum jam and glace cherry.
Finish
Remarkably long, with waves of fruit fading to an enticing winter spice finish, very long with lashings of fruit and winter spice, elegantly smooth and creamy with just a hint of spice, long and well-rounded.
