Nose
Fresh and lively, with rich fruits and sherried peels. Hints of mixed peels, allspice, butterscotch, barley malt, caramel sauce, lemon zest, and a damp, autumn forest character developing to dried fruit, sweet spices, and warm Seville oranges.
Palate
Very smooth, creamy, and almost buttery mouthfeel. Malty and fruity with hints of spice, white pepper, ginger, dark berries, and toffee apples. Surprisingly sweet and mellow, carrying a richly spiced toffee quality, dried orange pith, and hints of sherry.
Finish
Long and complex, with huge spice notes and drying toasted oak. Sugary and fruity, with candied apples, simple syrup, rich vanilla, and a soft oak quality. The creaminess persists.
