Description

From the Isle of Skye, the second release of Torabhaig. This heavily peated single malt whisky was distilled in 2017 & 2018, drawn from a small batch of 30 barrels, and made with a mix of Concerto and Laureate malted barley with an in-grain phenols content of 77ppm. This is the second installment of The Legacy Series, described as 'well-tempered peat,' balancing smoke with complexity and earthiness. It was bottled at 46% with no chill-filtration or colouring.

Bolder peat, coastal tar, oily texture, roasted salted nuts, light fruit salad, heather, fennel, metallic pepper spice, oily citrus, hints of tropical fruit and vanilla biscuits, with a subtle medicinal edge.
Finish
Sweeter orchard fruits like apples and kiwi, vanilla oak, lingering peat smoke, sea breeze and briny harbourside character, with hints of tobacco and floral peat.
