Nose
The nose is rich with spicy ginger and nutmeg, balanced against toffee, sherry sweetness and the classic Dingle herbal character, but all darkened down a little bit to tobacco, leather, medium-dark chocolate, raisins and figs.
Palate
The palate is heavy and oily, initially sweet with toffee, PX sherry syrup and orange peel, then turning dark with more leather and tobacco, dark chocolate and toasted walnuts
Finish
The finish is one of two halves, with the sweet notes fading relatively quickly, and the dark notes lasting a nice, long time
