Description
Named in honour of Nathan "Uncle Nearest" Green, a former slave who taught Jack Daniel how to distill his now world famous whiskey. He was the first African-American master distiller on record in the United States. This 100-percent rye mash bill whiskey is matured in used Uncle Nearest barrels before being bottled at 100-proof, keeping with the brand's tradition of creating some of the most awarded whiskeys in the world. This rye whiskey is elevated, hitting every mark with its rich flavor profile, incredible balance of spices, and extraordinarily smooth finish.
