Description

The Gleann Mór Spirits Company is an independent firm based in Edinburgh, specialising in bottling single malt Scotch whiskies. Under its label "A Rare Find" it bottles a selection of exclusive limited edition individual cask bottlings from the warehouses around Scotland. This Islay Single Malt, Cask Number: 140, was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 58.5% ABV. It was finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and is one of only 421 bottles released. It is bottled without chill-filtration or colour additions.

Rich and sweet smokiness, blending peat and wood smoke harmoniously, with notes of smoked meat, barbecue, fresh hay, seaweed, blackcurrant jam, nuts, and citrus.
Palate
Full-bodied with bacon wrapped dates, nori flakes, stewed berries, maple smoked bacon, dark chocolate, redcurrants, and a fruity, fresh essence underscored by wood smoke and toasted oak.
Finish
Medium-long, shifting towards dryness with white pepper, gentle oaky astringency, cinnamon, earthy undertones, dusty dark chocolate, TCP, and a smoky, peaty, spiced profile.
