Description

This single malt was distilled at an unnamed Islay distillery in 1990 and matured in a bourbon barrel for 31 years. It was bottled in August 2022 by independent bottler Signatory Vintage as part of their Cask Strength Collection. Only 259 bottles of this Scotch whisky were produced.

Nose: Fresh like sweet seaweed and fruity notes of lemon zest. Smoke and some menthol and pine needles float above it. In addition, phenol and mineral notes.
Palate: Soft and oily on the tongue. At first surprisingly sweet with a little liquorice that fades into smoke and fresh citrus notes. In addition, salt and a mineral impression.
Finish: Long-lasting and smoky sweet.
