Description

Vat 69 is a classic blended Scotch whisky, originally created by William Sanderson in 1882. The name originates from the 69th vat, which was chosen as the best blend from 100 samples. This particular bottling dates from the 1970s and is known for its historical significance, having been carried by Sir Ernest Shackleton on his Antarctic expedition and famously featured in 'Band of Brothers'. It is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies.
