Description
Part of the original wheated bourbon whiskey family, W. L. Weller was a brand founded by the Stitzel-Weller Distilling Company and is now under the ownership of the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The bourbon takes the name of William Larue Weller who pioneered the use of wheat in place of rye, creating a smoother, softer style of bourbon. This particular expression is a Full Proof Single Barrel Select for Fortnum & Mason, bottled at 114 proof (57% ABV), the same strength it entered the barrel, and is non-chill filtered to retain natural oils and flavors.
