Part of the original wheated bourbon whiskey family, W. L. Weller Special Reserve substitutes wheat for the usual rye in its mash bill, resulting in a softer, smoother profile. The brand was founded by the Stitzel-Weller Distilling Company and is now produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, owned by the Sazerac Company. Bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), this Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is known for its gentle, easy-drinking character and is a standard, year-round release.
