Description

Waterford 'Ballybannon' Peated Single Malt Irish Whisky is a distinctive release from Waterford Distillery, part of their Arcadian Farm Origins series, marking a return to traditional Irish peated whisky production. It is crafted using 100% Irish barley sourced from Ballybannon farm in County Carlow, known for its lime-rich soils. The barley is kiln-dried to 47ppm using peat from Niall Carroll's Ballyteige cuttings in County Kildare, creating a whisky with assertive smokiness that harmonizes with the barley's creamy, fruity character. This expression represents the first marriage of Irish barley and Irish peat in generations. [6, 9, 10, 11, 16, 19, 20, 24, 25]
