Description
This is the second release of single malt Irish whisky from Waterford Distillery's Single Farm Origin series, using barley grown by Ed Harpur on Bannow Island, County Wexford. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2020 at 50% ABV, it was matured in a combination of first-fill American oak, virgin American oak, French oak, and Vin Doux Naturel (fortified wine) casks. The series explores the concept of terroir in whisky, with each release showcasing barley from a single farm. This edition is noted to be four months older than the first edition and is non-chill filtered with no artificial coloring or additives.
