Description
Waterford Single Farm Origin Bannow Island Edition 1. is an Irish Single Malt Whisky from the Waterford distillery, which was transformed by Mark Reynier in 2014. The distillery focuses on 'terroir', meticulously detailing the production process and raw materials. This release, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2020, is part of the Single Farm Origin series, showcasing barley from a single farm. The barley for this edition was grown by Ed Harpur on Bannow Island farm in County Wexford, an area influenced by Atlantic winds and sandy soils. It was matured in a combination of American oak (including virgin oak) and French oak (including Vin Doux Naturel casks).
