Nectar Grove is an exclusive Limited Edition small batch, hand-crafted Scotch whisky with a beautifully succulent character. A blend of fine single malts has been filled into hand-selected ex-Madeira wine casks to marry with the oak for a rich, warm finish. This expression is made with Highland malt whiskies and was Wemyss' first cask-finished whisky.
Based on 3 published Maltiply reviews.
The fruit on the nose gives way to orange oil, vanilla and caramelised sugar, then a warm finish with spice, saffron and crystallised ginger. That shift from sweet fruit to warming spice sounds appealing.
AmberSoda26 AprPeach and apricot sound appealing; the spiced finish adds warmth.
Nectar Grove’s fruit-led nose, with peaches, dried apricot and nectarines, gives it a clear starting point. Orange oil, vanilla and caramelised sugar bring a richer palate, while the warm spice, saffron and crystallised ginger add a distinct finish. That shift from ripe fruit to sweet, spiced notes makes the character easy to follow. The named Madeira wine cask is useful context, though the details here do not establish a cask sequence or maturation duration.
Listed value is based on sold auction prices and inclusive of auction fees (not including tax and shipping).
