Description
A famous brand of blended Scotch whisky, White Heather 21 Year Old is currently produced by The GlenAllachie Distillers Company. The brand was revived by Master Blender Billy Walker, having been discontinued in the 1980s. This small batch release is a blend of 53% grain whisky and 47% malt whisky, including aged GlenAllachie and peated Islay single malt, along with whiskies from the Highlands and Speyside. The whiskies underwent primary maturation for 18 years in a combination of first-fill American oak barrels, second-fill barrels and hogsheads, and sherry butts. Following blending, the spirit was given an additional three years of secondary maturation in specially selected Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons, as well as Appalachian virgin oak casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV, is non-chill filtered, and has natural color. Only 2,000 bottles were released worldwide.
