Wire Works Whisky from White Peak Distillery is Derbyshire's very first Single Malt. Commissioned in early 2018 with the first distillation taking place in April that year, it wasn't until February 2022 when their first Wire Works Whisky was released. The "Wire Works" name comes from the sight of the distillery, as it's built on the former Johnson & Nephew wire works on the banks of the river Derwent. This specific bottling is a lightly peated single malt, distilled in 2019 and matured in a single cask (#19-257) before being bottled in 2024 for The Whisky Shop Nottingham.
