Description

Produced in Bardstown, Kentucky by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, Ltd. (KBD), which is also known as the Willett Distillery. The distillery was erected in 1936, only three years after prohibition was repealed, and they put their first barrel in the warehouse on St. Patrick's Day 1937. Nose
Warm waves of caramelized brown sugar, dark cherry, seasoned oak, tobacco leaf, and vanilla bean. Hints of brown sugar, dark chocolate and coffee beans subtly complement bold notes of rye, buttered biscuits and caramel.
Palate
Full-bodied and silky, opening with dark caramel, toffee, and maple-syrup depth. Layers of black cherry, dried plum, and molasses unfold, followed by cinnamon bark, roasted nuts, cocoa nibs, and polished oak.
Finish
Exceptionally long and elegant. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, aged oak, spiced fruit, leather, and sweet tobacco slowly fade into a balanced, warming glow.
