Description
The Willett Family Estate 2 Year Small Batch Rye is a limited-edition, cask-strength rye whiskey, marking the first self-distilled release from Willett Distillery in decades, following their restart of distillation in 2012. It is aged for two years in new charred American white oak barrels and bottled non-chill filtered. The whiskey is a blend of two Willett rye mash bills: a high-rye (74% rye, 11% corn, 15% malted barley) and a low-rye (51% rye, 34% corn, 15% malted barley), with a larger percentage of the high-rye mash bill used. This combination creates a complex flavor profile balancing robust herbal notes with sweeter, dessert-like flavors.
